The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) prohibits discrimination and ensures equal opportunity and access for persons with disabilities.

Policy Statement

Southern Iowa Trolley prohibits discrimination in employment, educational programs, services, and activities on the basis of race, national origin, color, creed, religion, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or associational preference. As a program of the University and recipient of Federal financial assistance, the Southern Iowa Trolley is committed to ensuring no person is excluded form participation in or denied the benefits of its services on the basis of disability.

Complaint Process

Any person who believes they have been subjected to discrimination under the ADA based on their disability may file a complaint within 180 days by either:

• submitting the form below, or

• download, fill out and mail our SIT ADA Complaint Form, or

• calling Southern Iowa Trolley Transit Director at 641-782-6571

• submitting the Iowa Civil Rights Commission Complaint Form

• submitting the Federal Transit Administration’s Office of Civil Rights Complaint Form
